Patricia Ann France, 85, of Massillon, passed away peacefully, with her daughters at her side, Sunday evening, December 21, 2025. Born in Massillon, August 14, 1940, the youngest of four daughters born to the late Marion and Bertha (Schuct) Singhaus, Pat graduated from Washington High School with the Class of 1958. After attending the former Massillon Beauty College, she became a licensed beautician and the owner-operator of Pat’s Beauty Haven in Moffit Heights. She later worked briefly for the former Perry Driving School.
In addition to running the shop, Pat was a full-time wife and mother. Lovingly devoted to, encouraging and supportive of her husband, their daughters, and later, the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She created a warm and welcoming home and filled it with happy memories. She made time to be involved in special and ordinary ways with the family during their school days, holidays, birthdays, graduations, weddings, picnics, and sunny days out on the water; on rainy days, for skinned knees, bad colds, bad hair days, for hard days and broken hearts. Like good moms for generations, she was always there, to love, to guide, to listen and advise.
While her family always took priority, in her leisure time Pat was active in the Tiger Town Boat & Ski Club. She loved animals and was especially fond of the kitties that shared their home with her through the years.
Predeceased by her parents; her husband, Richard G. "Dick" France – who passed away at this same time last year, a great-grandson, Hunter, her sisters, Lucille Milligan, Barbara Winter, and Martha Faloon, and a dear niece, Mary Mabel Hardesty; Pat is survived by her daughters, Tori (Richard) Caillet, of Dalton and Jennifer (Louis) Yoder, of Fredericksburg; grandchildren, Lindsey (Jacob) Gore, Rick (Kady) Caillet, Tyler (Jessica) Beckel, and Collin (Amber) Yoder; great-grandchildren, Axel, Riley, Archer, Reed, Evee, Maisie, Liam – and a new Baby Yoder due in April.
Family and friends will gather to honor Pat with a celebration of her life at 12:00 p.m. Monday, December 29, 2025, at Atkinson Feucht Hare Funeral Home in Massillon. Cremation and a private burial will follow. They will receive condolences for one hour prior to the service, from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested in care of the Wayne County Humane Society (www.wchs.org). Your memories and condolences are always welcome and may be added here to Pat's on-line guestbook.
