Isabelle M. Reicosky, of Navarre, at the age of 94, while surrounded by family, and having completed a full and purposeful life, stepped gently into the presence of her Savior, Wednesday morning, April 17, 2024. Born in Bolivar, Ohio, February 10, 1930, a daughter to the late Raymond and Mary (Slemmer) Lab, Isabelle graduated from the former Bolivar High School with the Class of 1948. As a devoted wife and a loving and supportive mom, grandma, and great-grandma, Isabelle placed her faith and her family at the center of her life. As a faithful and active member of St. Clement Catholic Church and Holy Family Parish for nearly seventy years, she was a member of the Rosary-Altar Society and looked forward to working the parish festival every spring. She also served for several years in the Navarre VFW Post 5047 Ladies Auxiliary. In addition to creating a warm and welcoming home for her husband and family, Isabelle worked as an STNA for Altercare of Navarre and Country Lawn Skilled Nursing Center. A gifted and imaginative seamstress, she enjoyed making clothes and costumes for her children and grandchildren. And in her leisure time, she enjoyed working in her garden.
Predeceased by her parents; her husband of 62 years, Louis, her son, Daniel, four sisters and two brothers; Isabelle is survived by her children, Steve and Tim Reicosky, both of Navarre, Barbara (Tom) Competty, and Susan (Larry) Clements, all of Jackson Township; and her grandchildren, Adam (Brittany) Reicosky, Carin (Dwayne) Hoover, Matthew (Carrie) Competty, Lauren (Bob) Strobel, Braden (Amy) Competty, Justin (Anna) Clements, Joshua Clements (and Faith Pauley), and Isabelle (Quaid) Kloha. Sixteen great-grandchildren also survive, together with her sisters, Mrs. Clara Young, of Navarre, and Mrs. Louise Osburn, of Zoar, and brother, David (Donna) Lab, of Navarre.
Family and friends will join Fr. Kevin Peters to celebrate a funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 22, 2024, at Holy Family Parish of St. Clement in Navarre. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. The family will receive condolences on Sunday afternoon, from 5-7:00 p.m., at Atkinson Feucht Hare Funeral Home in Navarre. Your memories and condolences are always welcome and may be added here to Isabelle's on-line guestbook.
